Its training environments support alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined. The long season and experience in hosting international competitions make Ruka an excellent destination for early-season camps, regular training blocks and race trips. Kuusamo Airport is approximately 30 minutes from the resort. Depending on availability, larger teams can be accommodated in several apartments within the same building complex. Ski Team Accommodation in Finland – Suomu
Suomu provides a peaceful and focused environment for goal-oriented alpine ski training and race preparation. The Suomu Alpine Performance training centre has two bookable alpine training slopes, including facilities for slalom and giant slalom training. Reliable snow, professional training conditions and a quiet location make Suomu particularly suitable for ski clubs and national-level teams that want to concentrate on training and recovery without the distractions of a large resort. Suomu can also be reached via the direct night train from Helsinki to Kemijärvi, followed by a transfer of approximately 44 kilometres.
